Navigating Motherhood, Healing, and Finding Balance

Introduction:

In this blog post, we'll dive into my journey of being a mother who opens up about the complexities of motherhood, healing from past trauma, and the pursuit of balance in my life. This candid narrative takes us through the challenges and realizations of my quest to be the best mom I could be while healing myself from the scars of my past.

The Overwhelming Start:

The blog post begins with the my candid admission that my period started, which was setting the stage for a less-than-ideal mood. I expresses frustration, annoyance, and physical exhaustion, which isn't helping my disposition.

Dealing with Defiance and Frustration:

I reflect on the challenges of dealing with my daughter, Casie's defiance. I knew that it's a normal part of her development but admit that it'd been a source of frustration. I recognized the need to find a strategy to work through this without shaming her because of my own issues.

Balancing Multiple Roles:

The narrative delves into my life, where I was juggling multiple roles, including being a mother, a wife, a part-time online teacher, and a student. I reflects on the chaos of managing my children's extracurricular activities, grocery shopping, and household responsibilities on top of it all. I knew on some level that my past was influencing my desire to give my children the experiences I missed out on during my own childhood.

Navigating Marriage and Personal Growth:

I also contemplate about the complexities of being in a marriage and the need for my husband and me to be able to pursue our individual interests while taking care of our children. My husband's unpredictable work schedule added another layer of challenge to our lives. I was also pursuing my own interests, such as dog training certification and holistic healing modalities.

Healing from Past Trauma:

I share my journey of healing from past trauma and trying to rediscover my true self. I explain that my nervous system was constantly on edge, and I was trying to unlearn patterns and programming from my past.

The Importance of Changing Perspectives:

The blog post highlights the significance of changing the meaning we attach to situations. I hope my personal experiences I share where I realized that my interpretations were inaccurate. It demonstrates how altering one's perspective can lead to a calmer and less triggered response to life's challenges.

Conclusion:

I can’t emphasize the power of understanding the meaning we give to situations, allowing us to approach life's complexities with a fresh perspective and less reactivity. This is also important to model for our children and being honest and transparent with them, creating a foundation for them to handle complex emotions and challenges.

This blog post offers a glimpse into my personal journey who, like many of us, faces the daily complexities of life, parenthood, and healing from past experiences. It's a story of resilience, self-awareness, and the pursuit of balance in a world that often feels overwhelming.
