Just Wanting Sleep

In this episode, I share how I wasn't as present as I’d like to be because I felt exhausted. I just wanted to sleep and didn’t have the chance since my daughter didn’t nap and contractors were at our house. By the end of the day, I surrender to sitting on the couch at the expense of not playing with my girls. The guilt took over and took me down the rabbit hole of negative thoughts.

UPCOMING EVENT: Girl Talk - 9/26: Anxiety (Grades 1-3 from 10-11am and Grades 4-6 from 11-12pm) with Lynette Keenum, a certified Life Coach and Meditation Expert

Children don't always have the words to express they are feeling anxious. Through the activities in this workshop, the girls will be able to identify situations that cause anxiety, how to recognize they're experiencing it by creating awareness around the way their body feels, the thoughts they are having, the language they are using (self-talk), and the beliefs they have based on the situation.

The activities are age-appropriate and created to foster a level of comfort around this sensitive subject matter by participating in a discussion, a breathing exercise, and basic yoga poses.
