Pressure for Perfection

In this episode, I share an incident with a little girl at my daughter’s dance recital. It was just before the finale was being rehearsed and the little girl started trembling with fear and crying because she was terrified of making a mistake. She hadn’t learned the entire routine (none of the girls had) and the fear of messing up had completely taken over her. I could relate because I’ve had the same kind of fear take over not only as a child but as an adult as well. The fear was all-consuming.
