3 Reasons why you need Support During Your Healing Journey
Choosing to heal is the strongest decision that one could ever make. Not only because it is a process of deconstructing and reconstructing ourselves, learning to leave behind limiting beliefs, hurt, trauma, concerns and so much more, but also because it is a journey that we usually take by ourselves, with ourselves.
Healing requires meeting ourselves, again and again, deeply understanding what brought us to this point and slowly learning to love ourselves through it. It is not a quiet and peaceful road. In fact, it is a noisy and messy road, and recognizing the people around that can act as a safety net is crucial because even when we want to work through it alone; feeling alone through it all can make it way worse.
And if you don’t know my story, let me tell you that I know this because I started my healing journey years ago. Before deciding that I wanted to become a healer and a coach, I had a life that felt miserable, nothing used to work for me and I even felt like a hopeless case. Then I started to heal, feel compassion for my past self, cry it all out and -oh, man- things changed for the better and I’m sure that, without the right company, it could’ve been harder.
That’s why I want to share with you 3 Reasons why you need Support During Your Healing Journey.
It can feel lonely AF - As if you were the only person going through it. Having someone to support you can make a huge difference.
It can be a lot to manage mentally, emotionally, and physically since the things that come up can be unexpected and painful to process.
There will be times when the journey feels too hard and you will want to throw in the towel, but if someone is there to be with you through it all, you may experience the journey from a more positive perspective.
It is scary enough to leave the familiar behind even if it isn’t serving you to step into the unknown. Without someone to act as a sounding board, someone to be your cheerleader, and to let you know that you are not the only one that has gone through something like this can make all the difference in continuing to have the strength and determination to see it through to the end.
