Is It Truly About Motivation?
The other day I was having a conversation and someone said “I just don’t feel it anymore” (the motivation to keep something going) and we all nodded in agreement because I think that everyone felt this way at least once in their life, it’s so relatable.
Then someone else said “that’s when determination kicks in” and Oh Gosh, it made a lot more sense.
Life is not 100% motivation nor 100% discipline. It has to be a balance between those two, it’s a spectrum, we need both because being fueled by pure discipline gets exhausting at some point, it’s too harsh, and being fueled by pure motivation is quite delusional, and impossible to keep in the long run.
Now, motivation needs discipline and determination as a backup and vice-versa; they’re absolutely complementary, and they must be!
One without the other generates a person with unreasonable and unstable behavior that may become a burden to themselves and affect their overall health - remember that health is directly liked to our mental/emotional state -
