Time To Focus On Yourself
I see you Mama… you are dog tired and I deeply understand you because I’ve been there as well.
Let me guess: You started your day with a to-do list that was a mile long and by the time afternoon rolls around it feels like it should be time to go to bed. You’ve managed to get some of the things done but the things on the list that are missing are things that are just for you.
Taking time to read the book you’ve been dying to start, making time to move your body, getting a mani, journaling, crying, going out, or just stopping for a second to sit and do nothing.
You’re tired of feeling tired. You want to make time for yourself but the guilt creeps in because taking time for yourself somehow means that you’re not giving more time to your business, your kids, your partner, the house, etcetera.
That is, actually, the farthest thing from the truth.
You must take time for yourself and recognize yourself as a priority instead of the last item on the list. It needs to be a non-negotiable on your daily (yes, I said daily) to-do list. The feeling of being tired will start to fade away, you’ll feel more confident, independent, individual, loved… taken care of because YOU are already giving yourself everything that you need.
Here is what I do!
1. Pick something that feels 'right', nothing that would feel too far out of reach or character.
2. Pick a time when you feel like it would be easiest to integrate into your day. Are your mornings crazy? Then maybe the evening is best once the kids are in bed.
3. Pick something that genuinely brings YOU joy, not what brings others joy.
If you need some support, I’m here and I see you, I feel you and I can help you fin the peace you’ve been seeking.
