Have Compassion

In this episode, I share how an interaction between my friend and her daughter opened my eyes to the lack of compassion I felt I had for others especially as a mom toward my children and towards myself. I also realized that I allowed others to influence or control how I thought about myself and the decisions I made as a mom were perceived to not be good enough or right.

The key insights from this show:

  1. Having compassion for yourself the way you do for others is so important. This is going to look, feel, and sound different for each person and can vary depending on the circumstance.

  2. Boundaries are so important when it comes to allowing others to put their perceptions or opinions on you as your truth. You don’t have to take their thoughts on as yours if they don’t align with your values, your lifestyle, or what is in your heart.

  3. Looking for validation, acceptance, love, worthiness, and being enough from within is so magical, powerful, and potent because it allows you to be the deciding factor of how you feel and you don’t have to rely on others.
