Getting Called Out

In this week’s episode, I talk about how my husband called me on my shit. Wow, did it blindside me!

I was having a pity party for myself feeling like I never had any time for myself. I was so stuck in the rut of taking care of everyone and everything. Inevitably, I was the last on the list. When I reached my breaking point, I got up the courage to say something. 

When I finally had my break I didn’t even take it. I did all the things that didn’t get done from that day’s to-do list. Then I complained that my break wasn’t a break at all.

He snapped at me, “You don’t even know what you want for a break!”

He was right. I didn’t. I was too busy looking at what everyone else was doing and trying to do that. I had lost sight of what made me feel recharged and filled my cup.
