Unraveling Overwhelm: My Journey to Finding Peace
Realizing that the root of my overwhelm was not my packed schedule, the labels, or the future and past worries, but the sense of being out of control, was a turning point. I started focusing on what I could manage and took small steps to regain control over my life. I practiced mindfulness to stay present, set realistic boundaries, and sought tools and strategies that worked for me.
I learned a lot down this bumpy road and I’m not the kind to gatekeep, so I want to share this with you.
Understanding Why We Feel Stuck in Life
Feeling stuck is a common experience, but it doesn’t have to be a permanent state. By understanding the reasons why we stay stuck and taking practical steps to overcome them, we can break free from the cycle and move towards a more fulfilling life. This will sound like some sort of self-help-book bs but remember that you are not broken and you don’t need to be fixed. You just need to make some changes, shift your perspective and start behaving in a way that serves your present and future self. Start with small, manageable steps, and gradually build momentum towards the life that you want. It is possible and you’ll be glad that you started today!
Feeling Lost: My Journey from Teaching to Finding Myself
Do you feel so lost in life, like nothing is going right for you? Maybe it’s even the darkest time you’ve ever had. I can totally relate because I was there too. Back in 2014, I left my teaching career, and I just felt so alone and like a failure. I didn’t think there was anything worth living for after that, even though, from the outside looking in, I had it all. I had a beautiful house, a loving husband, two beautiful girls, nice cars, college degrees—you know, the “white picket fence lifestyle.” But it just felt like there was something missing.
In this blog, I’m going to share with you the three reasons why I felt lost, and I hope that they help you on your journey. Make sure you keep reading because I think the third reason is going to be the most surprising!
